1/4 cup Ghee1/2 packet Marie Biscuit1 packet Dates (Kajoor) Chopped Almonds

METHOD

  • Melt ghee.
  • Add chopped dates and then chopped marie biscuits to the ghee.
  • Put in a greased pan and flatten with the back of a spoon or by hand.
  • Sprinkle chopped almonds
  • Let it cool.
  • Cut in squares.
  • ENJOY!

3 Eggs1 cup Sugar1 cup Milk1 cup Ghee/Oil3 cup Cake Flour6 tsp Baking Powder1 tsp Vanilla Essence

METHOD

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius
  • Beat wet ingredients (Eggs, milk, ghee/oil, vanilla essence)
  • Sift dry ingredients (Sugar, flour, baking powder)
  • Combine wet and dry mixtures.
  • Pour in greased cake pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes on 180 degrees celsius.

2 cup ghee2 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 cups sojee (tasty wheat or semolina) 2 cups flour 2 cups milkSoak a few strands of saffron in water 

METHOD

  • Beat ghee and sugar until creamy
  • Add eggs, sojee, flour & milk & beat  
  • *Allow mixture to stand overnight* – bake in the morning in a huge tray. 
  • Grease your tray with ghee then put sultanas and khus khus, pour mixture in, put sultanas on the top again, khus khus and sliced almonds, sprinkle soaked saffron mixture on the top
  • Put to bake for 180 degrees celsius for between 35 to 40 minutes

Dry 2 cups Flour4 tsp Baking PowderPinch of Salt2 tblsp Sugar—————–Wet1 Egg1/4 cup Oil1/4 cup Milk 

METHOD

  • Mix the first four ingredients together (Flour, baking powder, salt, sugar)
  • Beat the next 3 ingredients (Egg, oil, milk)
  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients
  • Add water to make into a soft scone dough
  • OPTIONAL : Add soaked dates, fruit mix, mixed seeds or vanilla extract – The variations are limitless.
